The encounter with Daum, a renowned crystal manufacturer deeply rooted in the heritage of Nancy, the hometown of the artist, happened quite naturally over their know-how and their knowledge of the material. This translucent material, which captures light and appears full of life, traps air bubbles as it takes its shape, and gives birth to Yeelen, signifying Light in Bambara, the language of Mali where the artist lived for fourteen years.
